Celebrating poets: Ana Luísa Amaral

Hi Everyone,

Before visiting Portugal last year, I took a deep dive into contemporary Portuguese poetry and was delighted to (very belatedly) discover the wonderful work of Ana Luísa Amaral, who passed last summer.

Here’s a video of her reading from her collection, What’s in a Name, which I highly recommend. Beside her is her longtime translator Margaret Jull Costa.
