Summer reading: AURA by Carlos Fuentes

Hi Everyone,

I just finished reading AURA by Carlos Fuentes in Spanish (part of my plan to read more in my mother tongue) and can’t recommend it highly enough!

It’s barely novella length yet defies genre, time, expectations. It’s very literary and fantastical, a horror story that invents itself as it goes along, inciting you—as well as its hapless protoganist—to interrogate your assumptions about what you think you know.
