Thinking prompt #19: MORE FROM MY TEACHING NOTES
Hi Everyone,
Here are a few more thoughts from my teaching notes—aka my writing manifesto—in no particular order:
To write a novel is to persuasively create places and lives, to inhabit a world in which you create collisions and affinities, contrasts and resemblances, dissonances and entanglements.
What is the relationship between voice and the intensification of experience?
How does sound change the scene?
Let your questions and curiosities lead you beyond the boundaries of familiar ways of knowing and doing things.
Sometimes the best writing comes out of not knowing.
Find images that contain underlying complexities and rival narratives.
I will intermittently post more of these!
Abrazos,
Cristina
