Hi Everyone,
During our Q & A On Revision a couple of weeks ago, questions arose about when and from whom to accept feedback. Personally, I think it’s useful to receive feedback now and then as long as you trust the sensibilities and sensitivity of your reader(s).
Even so, not everything someone may tell you will resonate with you—nor should it. Remember: you are the ultimate arbiter of your own work.
This is an open invitation to post here about what you’re working on and if you’re seeking feedback from another writer or two. Perhaps you may embark on a mutual reading/editing endeavor? Form a group?
Good luck!
Abrazos,
Cristina

This is a great invitation. I am working with a group but could get together with Latinx peeps. I'm writing a novel set in Bluefields, Nicaragua,1900, and in the "celestial cottage and farm" where Tonanztin, Chantico y la virgen de Guadalupe reside. Here's my 50 word synopsis: Gigi Pineda marries her childhood sweetheart in 1900 Nicaragua, but even though she carries the goddess molecule within her, she cannot prevent her marriage from falling apart. Three goddesses of the Americas and one Titan interfere with Gigi’s tumultuous journey toward self-actualization and battle each other about who has dominion over the earth. So that's what I'm up to besides work, family, cats, and writing poetry....I could join a group, if there's interest.
