Writing prompt #115: HEARING THE NOISE

Hi Everyone,

To quote trailblazing American music composer and theorist John Cage:

“Wherever we are, what we hear is mostly noise. When we ignore it, it disturbs us. When we listen to it, we find it fascinating.”

YOUR PROMPT: Describe a scene, or write a poem, in strictly aural terms. Concentrate exclusively on sounds: cacophonous or quiet, voices of all stripes, ambient noises, even the quality of the silences. This is harder than it sounds (no pun intended!).
