Writing prompt #83: WHAT IS BEAUTY?
Hi Everyone,
Recently, I’ve been reading a lot about post-World War II artists—including French artist Jean Dubuffet below—who believed that beauty, as he’d once understood it, was dead. His and others’ arguments inspired this week’s prompt.
YOUR PROMPT: Choose two of your characters and have them try to describe what beauty means to them. You can write this as an argument between them—about something, or someone, specific; or as abstract as the concept itself. You could also try to capture each character’s beauty ‘manifesto’ in whatever point- of-view that works for you.
I suspect your characters may reveal themselves in unexpected ways.
Good luck with this!
Abrazos,
Cristina
