I love coming across new work that surprises and dazzles me. This debut novel comes out on January 18. Here’s my blurb:
"David Sanchez's first novel—brilliant, lyrical, hilarious, heartbreaking—is the definitive handbook to hell and back. I haven't read anything as toughly vulnerable since Denis Johnson's JESUS' SON. A stunning debut."

This year I've bought many wonderful debut novels, but I was particularly thrilled to purchase and devour Yes, Daddy by Jonathan Parks-Ramage--whose editor is Pilar, Cristina's daughter--and Mother, Sister, Brother, Explorer by Jamie Figueroa. because I'd seen excerpts of earlier versions of their novels in workshop at Bread Loaf.

Love that you’re supporting them! Will check out Figueroa’s book!
