I have been able to work on my novel The Girls from Humboldt Park almost every day. I think I’m gonna finish this year! Bless me!

This is such good news, Cristina! I cannot WAIT for VANISHING MAPS (what a killer title, btw!)!

I recently found representation for my novel, BLOOD IN THE CUT, and am about to hand in my latest revisions to my agent. With any luck, he'll be able to shop the book around and find it a home soon. I can honestly say that without the Las Dos Brujas community, that book would be languishing in some forgotten desktop folder, so thank you all (especially Cristina)!

I so agree with Alejandro! Thank you for this wonderful community, Cristina, which is a huge source of encouragement and inspiration for me!! And congratulations on Vanishing Maps! My agent just got back to me with a round of rejections for my novel manuscript, KINGDOM COME, and it's out there with a few more, so we'll see. I'm trying to hold it very loosely and figure out the "next thing" which has felt like a lot of false starts. BUT, I've been tinkering with trying to write some poems in the next-thing process, and when you suggested Jude Marr, PhD's Poem Doctor service, I gave it a shot and WOW. They are phenomenal—so generous, so brilliant, I feel like I'm getting a whole intensive poetry seminar every time we interact. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
