Oh, I like this. My goal is to fall headlong into a new project. It’s roughly been a year since I finished my book, so it’s about time I turn my sights onto a new horizon.

To make this happen, I’ll carve out some time each day until it becomes a habit, and once I hit my stride, I’ll writewritewrite until I hammer out a rough draft.

I need this. I need to move on and into something new.

Thanks for this prompt, Cristina!

My agent is sending my novel out on another round of submission. Right now, as primary caregiver to my husband, who has stage four cancer and is in hospice care at home, I am writing a memoir about our marriage and his illness told in vignettes.

I need to get back to my novel in progress. Another goal is to make clear differentiations between what I need for myself as opposed to what other people need from me.

I am balancing so much. Full time teaching job with leadership positions, my elderly parents that I help on a daily basis due to dementia, and poetry and the novel. Tbe goal is to be kind to myself while writing my heart out, and since goals should be specific, then by August 2022 I will have written my way to Gigi losing her daughter to her exhusband and his family. Boom. Alli esta.
